Being an eternal sucker for repetition, I decided to make myself yet another Vogue 2063 shirt. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I guess. This will be, I believe, my fourth time using the pattern (the other three can all be found here) and I would not be surprised if you find it popping up on the blog some time again in the near-distant future.

I've gotten so used to this pattern now I could do it in my sleep, so I was able to whip this baby up pretty quickly. I decided to lengthen the shirt by about 8 inches so it could be worn as a dress as well. Two functions are better than one and I'm all about that versatility in clothing these days.

This one was made from some gorgeous wheat print cotton my lovely brother bought me from India, that's been sitting in my stash for far too long while I tried to work out what to make with it. The fabric is hand printed which I've found often means the print isn't always completely straight or in line with itself, which was brilliant because it meant I had the perfect excuse not to bother pattern matching. Must've saved myself a good hour there! Though as against that, the buttonhole function on my sewing machine is no longer working, so I did end up losing that hour in hand stitching 12 buttonholes. But as against that, I now prefer hand-stitched buttonholes. It's all very complicated. Anyway, I'm loving how this turned out and it's definitely going to be getting a lot of use (though it's now a bit too cold for lightweight cotton, but whatevs, its time will come...).

And if you're feeling like this shirt's looking a bit familiar, then that might be because it snuck its way into my Faux Leather Faux Wrap Skirt post, so if you're aching to see more photos of this fabulous shirt, that's where you'll find them!

And if you have an even better memory than that, you may also think that today's entire look is suspiciously similar to the Goodwood outfit I posted over on ye olde Insta back in September. And you would be right. I refer you to Exhibit A:

Further evidence that my posts are never up-to-date.

Well that's me done for this week! Stay tuned for my next post, which should be about this black skirt!
