Purple Velvet Cocktail Dress Photos

I'd say this is one of my favourite dresses I've made so far. The shape is very flattering, and despite being a 'sexy' dress, it's still got a sophisticated vibe to it. And it was made out of leftover fabric, so it cleared up some space (to buy more fabric) and it was effectively free. So not bad.

There are parts of the construction that aren't quite perfect, for instance the boning keeps on wanting to poke out the top of the dress and distort the shape. I'll try and fix that at some point, as this is definitely a dress I want to wear again, and not just leave in the wardrobe for eternity (I've already worn it out twice and I'm still in love with it).
