Floral Playsuit (Vogue 9259)

I seem to have taken an unintentional 5 month hiatus, and as such, have quite a lot of catching up to do. As it stands, I have well over a dozen items that I've already finished and Instagrammed and really should have blogged, and that's before we get into the copious amount of projects I'm working on at the moment that I would be blogging about soon if I was any good at this! So yeah, good one, Olivia.

So I'll likely start playing catch-up in my next few posts, but for now I thought I'd blog about one of my newer makes, while it's still relevant for the summer months (insert grumbling about British weather).

If you've read the title for this post, then you'll already know that I'm going to be writing about a playsuit. I used Vogue 9259* because I love me some crossover straps, and went for option A, because I'm all about showing off my legs. That, and I didn't have much fabric.

Since I'm so out of sync with blogging, I didn't think to take a picture of the fabric in its pre-made-up condition, so you'll just have to wait for the big reveal to see what it looks like. But I used an orange floral polycotton, which I'd had in my stash for...well, I was still a teenager when I bought it. Make of that what you will. 

Though to be honest, I'm not actually sure why I did buy it, because I'm pretty sure I was still a goth at the time, and it's not the most gothic of fabrics. I mean, I love it now, but there's no way in hell I loved it then. Very strange.

The pattern itself was really easy to follow and the fit was actually great - I didn't make any adjustments. I do worry that things will pop out when I wear it, but hey, you've got to take risks for fashion, right?

And now the moment we've all been waiting for - actual photos on the blog!

Overall, I am so in love with this make and would be wearing it more often if, y'know, it ever got warm here. But on the one day the sun does decide to come out, you can be rest assured I'll be wearing this and sipping cocktails outside, complaining about how hot it is.
